For the duration of A Taste of Winchester, the St James Tavern will be offering some special dishes featuring local produce and their own locally grown fruit and vegetables. They will be run alongside their menu, and can be mixed and matched with a la carte menu.
Starter: New forest mushrooms fried in wild garlic butter, toasted lemon and thyme bread crispy vale farm egg yolk.
Main: Duo of beef, brisket in a sticky glaze, pan-fried Sirloin, celeriac and potato dauphinois, carrot puree, thyme jus.
Dessert: Chef’s garden rhubarb pavlova, Chantilly cream, rhubarb 3 ways, poached rhubarb, rhubarb gel, and rhubarb sorbet.
